I attended my first OLA Super Conference last weekend and I enjoyed it immensely.
The best presentation I saw was by John Pateman, who always has interesting things to say about the community-led library model. The reason why I enjoy him so much is that every time I hear him speak he inspires me to think about library service in new ways.
Old school Dynix software in action. Reminds me of the good old days!

The other thing I really enjoyed was the SirsiDynix booth. I was trained in Dynix back in 2004 right before my library moved to Horizon (the library currently uses Symphony). So I’ve used SirsiDynix library products for ten years! It was cool to meet the real people behind the company and I was luck enough to get a bag as a memento.
I also picked up the cute button in the photo at the super conference. It makes me nostalgic for the month I spent weeding last summer.
